What Happens Next?

Anglo American has commissioned a number of environmental studies which will inform the future planning application submission. Over the next few weeks, noise monitoring will be undertaken in Dormanstown and local residents may spot these surveys being undertaken.

Any comments received will be carefully considered before the proposals are finalised. Following consideration of feedback received from this consultation exercise, it is envisaged that a planning application for the proposed development will be submitted by the end of the first quarter of 2024.

Thereafter, there will be a further opportunity for interested parties to provide feedback to the Council before the application is determined.

Nathaniel Lichfield & Partners Limited (‘Lichfields’) is registered with the Information Commissioners Office (registration number Z6193122). Your responses will be analysed by Lichfields on behalf of our client: AngloAmerican. It is not envisaged that any personal data will be supplied by virtue of completion of the survey, but in the event that any personal data is supplied, it will be disregarded and deleted without undue delay. Responses to this consultation may be made publicly available.
